Movie for the ToothPosted: 4/2/2010A review of Tooth Fairy by omarali85 TOOTH FAIRY is not as bad as it could have been, but I didn't enjoy it too much, really. It's just managable. As I anticipated, the movie is as funny as a few recent comedy films that showed up since last year, and the story wasn't too complicated to understand. The main character, acted by Dwayne Johnson "The Rock", had his fair share of shattered dreams, which got in the way of a kid believing in Tooth Fairies. Tooth Fairies? Okay, sounds like this movie is doomed already, no? Well... I enjoyed the way the character is being forced to become a tooth fairy for two weeks, since his comedic job was humiliating. I liked the part when he and the blond kid began to draw closer to each other, which added up to the ending of the movie. The talent show ending, in my opinion, was grand. But, there were some flaws in this movie. The girl who met the blond kid at the instrument store... where did she go to after that, why is the ending so flat (rescued, at least, by the last 1-minute game scene during the credits), and why did the fairies go and use the amnesia powder on the main character? Isn't there the fear of him going back into hating dreams at a long run, and wouldn't it be great if he had memories of helping out guys he disliked, or doubted, at first? Despite the film's flaws, it's still a managable movie to the watch. I'd seen even worse films than this. Was this review helpful? I was concerned that there might be content that my girls shouldn't watch, and that my parents wouldn't like it. The first words my dad (65) said as we walked out of the theatre..."I could turn around and watch that all over again!" My girls loved it, and they didn't walk out of the theatre with any doubts about the tooth fairy. This was a great movie for the whole family. Five stars! Was this review helpful?
