If the movie wasnt so dark in some places it would have been better.I felt like I missed the good parts because the the director filmed most of the movie in the dark. Was this review helpful? This film is good, but it could have been much much better. The director was horrible and the film was sooo damn dark in places I couldn't see what was going on. The plot was weaken from the original, too. There is no back story of 'Trixie' or focus at all on the soldiers. Over all I had high hopes and was sort of let down...
I wrote this review BEFORE I read the critics review, I'm scared that I agreed with him. I usual never agree with critics, but he wrote EVERYTHING I was thinking when viewing this film.... Sign in 0 out of 0 users found this helpful GO SEE IT, I really liked it!!Posted: 3/6/2010A review of The Crazies by shopgirlKatie71295 I must admit that I thought it would be kinda stupid when I saw the previews for it....but as I am a horror movie fan, I was gonna go see it regardless...Then...BAM...this movie was awesome!! I didn't think it was stupid at all! The story line was really good, and it came through with the scares and jumpy Hitchcock type surprises that were awaiting you around every turn. I really, really, really liked it!! The main character, the Sheriff, played by Timothy Olyphant was really good! I think he's a fantastic actor. I thought his deputy Russell was very believable also, and quite the comedian at times...Wow, I'm gonna go see it again! Ya know what?...imma make up stuff...The part when the dude has the clown choking on a balloon animal was HI-LARRY-US...oh and when...they went to taco bell...and when they ordered sum tacos n stuff...they open their wrappers -here comes the jumper-...and then....THEY GOT THE WRONG ORDER!...Oh the hummanity!...All they wanted was sum tacos n stuff...and they got sausage biscuits!.....Thats why i hate politics..ya hear something about healthcare...and then your pet's head explodes....hehehe...&*$#'n'Bawls... I never saw the original so maybe that didn't affect my opinion. I thought it built a good sense of dread and suspense at each new location they tried to escape too and usually there were a few Crazies around to fight. A few too many jump moments but they were surprising and I usually don't jump from them. Overall good movie, I recommend it. Was this review helpful? I watched it because I had nothing to do so I gave it a shot. The story at first was a little hard to keep up because it didnt reveal itsself until the very middle of the movie where everything was starting to unfold. There was a little bit of talking here and there and sometimes a little too much. The make up on the crazies wasnt that bad i kind of like how they had all those black veins sticking out and stuff. As for blood and gore for me i would personally say that there wasnt enough of it. They could've added more but i guess they didnt. The acting was that bad but people that really know about acting might say it was horrible but thats just me. Anyway if you are looking for a horror movie to go watch go watch this one unless you perfer Shutter Island in which i hear it was good although I haven't watched it yet. Was this review helpful?
