For the action junkies out there, theres plenty of well choreographed, and extremely bloody, fight scenes. But underneath all that, there lies a deeper tale, one of savagery and redemption(Although that redemption may not be real, thats for you to decide). The opening lines about being being Dead & Alive simaltaniously really bring the movie together at the end. Its the kind of movie where you dont just forget about it once you walk out of the theater, but one that keeps you thinking for days. Overall, it was a must see film Was this review helpful? I'm glad he talked me into it because I LOVED it. I'm sure there'll be people reading way too much into it, but it was a great action thriller with just the right amount of gore. I was really impressed with Alice Braga (Beth). I laughed out loud with the guy in the lung costume needing to take a smoke break. The twist at the end was fantastic - I didn't see it coming. I'll agree that the fight in the hallway to get past the pink door was a bit much, but overall, there seemed to be a chemistry that worked with everyone on screen. Not everyone will like it, but I did. Side note: how can you fall asleep in a free movie, call it boring (if you were asleep, how would you know), and then say you want a refund? This is a poor attempt to bring to light the sinister occupation of removing somebody's bodily organs for resale on the market and attempt to pass it off as if this sort of thing somehow is plausible and that the characters in this film have real lives, families, relationships.
Pass on this movie, at least until it comes out on video.
Everything about this movie is slowly plotted and even that is not done very well. It doesn't have any high points or good points anywhere in the film. It drags on and carries you away from the plot and leaves you wondering where is this movie going time and again.
Liev Scheiver does a shabby performance.
