Stayed with me for days, obviously more, since I'm writing this now. Can't say that about too many movies.
Oscar worthy-no. But definitly worth renting. Get a box of tissues handy. Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. Rob Pattinson has a great career to look forward to. He looked as if he had gained some weight since his last Twilight movie and that made him look even more handsome. I look forward to seeing him in other movies, especially after all of the Twilight movies are finished. He is a great actor. MY Opinion!!! Was this review helpful? The movie was dark but emotionally charged. Characters were believable and Pattinson nailed the Tyler role - recommend this movie highly. What's with the ciritics constantly bashing Pattinson - he is a good actor (a modern day James Dean) and not just Edward Cullen - Loved it and so did my sister. I will definitely buy the DVD... I think Rob proved he can do more than Twilight & I'm going back to see it again w/ my sister. Also, can't wait to see how Rob does in his other roles (Bel Ami / Water for Elephants). ***** Was this review helpful? I also really liked Rob's character, Tyler. Tyler is a lost, early twenties, college student. I felt like I related with him. Was this review helpful? I actually went to see the movie not only for Rob Pattinson but because I also love Pierce Brosnan. The movie is very interesting. You feel everyone's angst and then the ending - WOW. It was very powerful. I loved not only Tyler's relationship with Ally but his relationship to those around him, expecially his little sister. Was this review helpful? This movie was great, I don't care what the critics say, and you shouldn't either. Robert Pattinson is a talented young actor and I hope we see him in films for years to come. Yes, he got a big, big start with playing Edward, but he is so much more than that!! I think maybe it's him that made Edward this appealing, dangerous and lovable vampire. Just like he made Tyler in Remember Me a troubled, rebellious and lovable young man, he has an on-screen chemistry that is undeniable, I think that is what makes him different and has him standing out above the crowd. He has lots of movie projects going, I will see each & every one of them!!! Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. Sign in 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/18/2010A review of Remember Me by Creativewriter2011 Remember Me is a twist story of both love, hate, and tragedy. The script was very well presented and created the illusion of a modern day storyline that can take place in NYC. The actors whom they chose also made this film a great experience to watch. Robert Pattinson has never really had a serious role as a young man, except in the Twilight Franchise. But the Twilight Franchise doesn’t touch the part of after growing up, like Remember Me does. It doesn’t show how someone can grow up, go to college and deal with a divided family. Pattinson played his role extremely well; being both a tormented man yet soft loving creature. His character, Tyler has a hard time dealing with the death of his older brother and has no real relationship with his father who divorced his mother. His co-star, Emilie de Ravin also plays a difficult role of both a tormented yet caring soul only looking for love to comfort her. Her mother killed before her eyes and only at a young age raised by her law enforcement father. The two actors work together to tell the story of from both a realistic and fictional perspective. They present the story as if it is a true realistic relationship that is being explained through film instead of paper. This movie had everyone attention as emotions were like a roller-coaster taking the audience through everyone personal feeling that these two characters held dear. The ending was a surprise for most (sorry spoiler, not telling the ending) and was both heartfelt and tragic. It plays on the audience’s heartstring of tragedy while confronting the finally happiness giving to the story. This movie is an excellent film to watch on a rainy day or a romantic afternoon with your special someone. Was this review helpful? It couldn't be any truer than life if they had lived it. I don't read critics reviews and had no idea what the movie was about but decided to see it. It was painfully and tearfully great. Do bring tissues. Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. Sign in 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/17/2010A review of Remember Me by jane004 Pattinson is surprisingly good as Tyler...surprisingly good. This film is not for the average moviegoer, who is usually looking for a happily-ever-after ending and will not be satisfied unless they get it. Movies are mindless...Films touch your soul. Nothing is a bigger waste of time than spending 2 hours in a theater and then walking away never thinking about it again. Remember Me will have you thinking about it for days. It's a beautiful film that touches everyone...if you allow it. Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. Not only for RPAtz, who does a great job in this film, but the little sister, the roommate and Emilie do a great job too. The ending is good in that it shows everyone carrying on with their lives after tragedy. That to me was the final message, life goes on and LIVE everyday. Was this review helpful?
